Art Intelligence. Retrospect like half a breath”
artist from Europe Country of Greece Michalis Manousakis presents the exhibition “Art Intelligence. A flashback like half a breath”, a multidimensional reference to his long career in art, which is organized under the auspices of the Athens School of Fine Arts, the Ministry of Culture and OPANDA.The exhibition, curated by Professor Panagiotis Pangalos, brings together approximately 200 works that express his personal anxieties, emotions and searches and cover the period 1969-2024: old and new works – some of which are being presented for the first time –, paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, games and works by friends. In the “Nikos Kessanlis” room of the Athens School of Fine Arts, the artist captures his thoughts through a journey of narratives, colors, rhythms and images that resonate with his deepest psyche. With a theme that highlights the timeless values of returning to roots, rebirth and everyday hope, Manousakis composes a visual and emotional experience. His work is a record of memory and personal moments, a journey between light and darkness. The exhibition marks another milestone in his many years of career, as Michalis Manousakis bids farewell to the Athens School of Fine Arts, where he served as a tenured professor from 1987 to 2020. Through this exhibition, Manousakis bows to his loves and passions, considering that none of these belong to him and that they are all occasions for another opportunity for a silent meeting of views on the time that has passed, on what we are experiencing now and on what we still have to do, which are very many.
