Dr. Jack De Sequeira, also known as the “Father of the Opinion Poll,” played a pivotal role in shaping Goa’s destiny. His unwavering commitment to preserving Goa’s identity and autonomy led to the historic Opinion Poll on January 16, 1967, where Goans voted against merging with Maharashtra.
