“Congress Slams Government Over Water Crisis in Goa, Demands Immediate Action”
OPPOSITION PARTY DEMANDS IMMEDIATE ACTION TO ADDRESS SHORTAGE
MAPUSA 28th Jan The Congress party on Tuesday held a press conference to highlight the worsening water crisis in Goa criticizing the government for its “inadequate” response to the issue.
Addressing the media north goa district congress committee President Vijai bhike said that the water crisis is a state emergency, and the government’s lack of action is unacceptable. Millions of people are struggling to access safe drinking water, and it’s the government’s responsibility to ensure that this basic necessity is met.”
The Congress party demanded that the government take immediate action to address the water shortage, including increasing funding for water conservation and management projects, promoting water harvesting, and improving water infrastructure.
“The government must prioritize the water crisis and work towards finding a long-term solution,” said Vijai Bhike . ”
“We cannot afford to wait any longer, as the consequences of inaction will be devastating.” he further said
