House Catches Fire in Parse, Mandrem; Timely Response Saves Property
Mandrem : A fire broke out at the house of Pratik Kannaik in Parse, Mandrem, on 04 February 25, around 10 AM. Locals immediately alerted the Pernem Fire Brigade, who, along with electricity department staff, reached the spot and brought the fire under control, preventing further damage.
Though most of the property was saved, the fire caused an estimated loss of ₹2.5 to ₹3 lakh in damages.
Local MLA Jit Arolkar visited the site soon after the incident. Assuring support to the affected family, he stated, “Don’t worry, I will ensure your house is repaired and will help from my side.”
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
