GOA GOVT. PROVIDES CUTTING-EDGE HEARING AIDS TO THOSE IN NEED
In a significant move to support individuals with hearing impairments, Minister for Health, Shri Vishwajit P RANE, distributed state-of-the-art digital programmable hearing aids to beneficiaries in Goa. This initiative is part of the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Cell of the Directorate of Health Services Goa, in collaboration with Dmello Telepower Pvt. Ltd., a key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner.
The advanced hearing aids, supplied by Oticon (Denmark), will be made available to eligible beneficiaries across both District Hospitals in Goa. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments and promote inclusivity in the community.
Digital programmable hearing aids are designed to provide superior sound processing and can distinguish between different types of sounds ¹. These advanced devices use digital signal processing techniques to analyze and modify sound output, providing a more natural listening experience.
The distribution of these hearing aids is a significant step towards addressing the needs of individuals with hearing impairments in Goa. The initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to promoting healthcare and well-being for all citizens.
