“Goa’s Rich Heritage Takes Center Stage at this years Carnival”
Panaji, March 4, 2025: The vibrant streets of Panaji were set ablaze with the spirit of Goan culture and tradition as the annual carnival celebrations kicked off. This year’s festivities were a true celebration of all things Goan, showcasing the state’s unique heritage and customs.
The highlight of the carnival was a stunning float that paid tribute to Goa’s secular fabric, depicting the harmonious coexistence of people from diverse religious backgrounds. Another impressive float demonstrated the traditional distillation of Goan cashew feni, a beloved local spirit that’s a staple of Goan culture.

Another float showcased the state’s iconic fisherman community, with participants proudly displaying their fresh catch, including kingfish.
