“Empowering Women, Empowering Society: International Women’s Day Awareness Programme Held in Mapusa”
Mapusa, Goa – The Goa State Commission for Women organized an enlightening International Women’s Day Awareness Programme on ‘Gender Sensitization & Equality’ at Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Mapusa.
The event brought together esteemed speakers, including Dr. Vrinda Borkar, who shared insightful perspectives on the importance of gender equality in society. The programme aimed to promote gender sensitization and equality, highlighting the need for a collective effort to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
The awareness programme was well-attended by students, faculty members, and community representatives, who actively participated in the discussions and Q&A sessions. The event provided a platform for sharing experiences, ideas, and best practices in promoting gender equality.
Special guest, Smt. Delilah Lobo, MLA of Siolim constituency, graced the occasion and emphasized the importance of empowering women in society. “As a woman leader, I believe it is essential to create opportunities and support systems that enable women to reach their full potential,” she said.
Chairperson of the Goa State Commission for Women, emphasized the commission’s commitment to empowering women and promoting gender equality in Goa.
