“Mapusa Police Arrest Stalker from Madhya Pradesh for Harassing DMC College Student”

Mapusa police have arrested a non-resident of Goa, native of Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly stalking a DMC college student from the Kadamba Transport Corporation bus stand at Mapusa. The accused, identified as Pradeep, was staying in a rented room near DMC college.

According to the police complaint filed by the female student, she noticed an unknown person following her while she was traveling with her friend to the Assagao bus stop after classes. Sensing danger, she alerted the bus driver and conductor, who confronted the suspect and forced him to flee.

However, the bus driver and conductor later spotted the suspect walking near Sim Khorlim and intercepted him. The police were alerted, and a jeep arrived promptly to take the accused into custody.

Investigations revealed that the suspect was trying to obtain the student’s contact information. The police have taken Pradeep into custody, and further investigations are underway.
