GOA GOVERNOR RELEASES KONKANI COMPILATION OF POETRY COLLECTION ‘OH MIZORAM’
Panaji, Goa – In a significant literary event, Governor of Goa, Shri PS Sreedharan Pillai, released a Konkani compilation of his poetry collection ‘Oh Mizoram’ at a function held at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula. The English book, originally written by the Governor himself, has been translated into Konkani by veteran writer and Kendra Sahitya Academy Awardee, Shri R.S. Bhaskar ¹.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Jnanpith Awardee, Shri Damodar Mauzo, senior journalist Shri Pachu Menon, and Proprietor of Sanjana Publication, Shri Dinesh Manerkar. Secretary to Governor Shri M.R.M. Rao, IAS, was also present on the occasion.
Governor Pillai, a prolific writer, has authored numerous books on various subjects, including history, law, politics, economy, and social affairs. His literary contributions have been widely acclaimed, and this latest release is expected to be well-received by literature enthusiasts in Goa and beyond.
The event highlighted the importance of promoting Konkani literature and language, and the Governor’s efforts to contribute to this cause were appreciated by the attendees.
