Calangute police Crack Murder Case and theft case in Record 24 Hours”*.
In a shocking turn of events, the Calangute Police have arrested two accused, Rahul Maheshwari and Rashmi Solanki, in connection with the murder of 39-year-old Bhavana Tomar, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, at a hotel in Khobrowado, Calangute, Goa.
According to the police, the complainant, Abdul Jahir Sarkar, lodged a complaint on March 17, stating that the accused duo trespassed into Hotel Raaj Inn and committed the murder between 5:07 am and 22:47 pm on March 15. The accused also stole a white bag and mobile phone belonging to the deceased.
The police registered a case under sections 329(3), 303(2), 103 r/w 3(5) of BNS 2023 and launched an investigation. Within 24 hours, the police identified the accused duo and arrested them from Delhi and Indore, respectively.
Rahul Maheshwari, 40, a resident of Delhi, and Rashmi Solanki, 43, a resident of Indore, have been remanded to police custody. Further investigation is in progress.
The swift action by the police has sent a strong message to criminals, and the people of Goa can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that justice will be served.
