CYCLISTS PEDAL FOR A CAUSE: TRANSPORT MINISTER MAUVIN GODINHO FLAGS OFF CISF-GREAT INDIAN COASTAL CYCLOTHON AT MORMUGAO PORT AUTHORITY
Panaji, Goa – In a grand display of solidarity and support for national security awareness and coastal vigilance, Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho welcomed the cyclists of the CISF-Great Indian Coastal Cyclothon at Mormugao Port Authority yesterday.
The cyclothon, which commenced on March 7, 2025, aims to cover a staggering 6,553 km journey over 25 days, passing through 11 states. The event at Mormugao Port Authority marked a significant milestone in the cyclothon’s journey, highlighting the importance of coastal security and community engagement.
“We are proud to support this initiative, which promotes national security awareness and coastal vigilance,” said Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho. “The CISF-Great Indian Coastal Cyclothon is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our security personnel, and we commend their efforts.”
The event was also attended by MLA of Vasco, Shri Krishna Daji Salkar, MLA of Mormugao, Shri Sankalp Amonkar, Commandant of CISF Shri Omvir Kumar, senior CISF officers, personnel, and the participating cyclists.
