“MINISTER MAUVIN GODHINO STEERS INFRASTRUCTURE GROWTH IN CANDOLIM VILLAGE”
Candolim, Goa – In a significant boost to the infrastructure development of Candolim village, Goa panchyat minister mauvin Godhino inaugurated the renovated Panchayat Ghar and Hall on Thursday . The event was attended by Hon’ble Minister for Panchayat Raj, Shri. Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble MLA of Calangute Constituency, Shri. Michael V. Lobo, and other dignitaries.
The renovated Panchayat Ghar and Hall, constructed under the XV Finance Commission Grants, will serve as a hub for community activities, meetings, and events. The project aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and promote community development.
Minister Mauvin Godinho emphasized the importance of community development, saying, “The renovation of the Panchayat Ghar and Hall is a significant step towards empowering our rural communities. We are committed to providing the necessary infrastructure and support to ensure the growth and prosperity of our villages.”
MLA Michael Lobo praised the efforts of the Panchayat and the government, saying, “I’m thrilled to see the progress being made in Candolim village. The renovated Panchayat Ghar and Hall will be a valuable asset to our community, and I’m committed to continuing to support initiatives that benefit our residents.”
In addition to the inauguration, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) of 40 KLD 2 units under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). Other projects inaugurated include a football ground at Arady, constructed under the 60th Year Goa Liberation Funds, and a Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
Sarpanch Salvador Blaize Fernandes expressed his gratitude to the government for supporting the development of Candolim village. “We are thankful for the government’s initiatives, which will greatly benefit our community. We look forward to continued support and collaboration.”
The event also saw the inauguration of various other facilities, including a hearse van, two sewerage tankers, a cricket pitch, a jumbo tractor, and a renovated Women Self Help Group shop.
With these new developments, Candolim village is poised to become an even more attractive and livable destination for residents and visitors alike.
