“CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Launches Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination Drive in Goa”
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination Drive, organized by the Rotary Club of Panaji in association with One World Goa at Panaji. This initiative aims to raise awareness about cervical cancer and provide HPV vaccinations to prevent the disease.
“The health and well-being of our citizens, especially women, is of utmost importance to our government,” said Dr. Pramod Sawant. “I commend the Rotary Club of Panaji and One World Goa for their efforts in organizing this awareness drive and vaccination program.”
The drive seeks to educate people about the risks and consequences of cervical cancer, emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention. The HPV vaccination program is designed to protect against the Human Papillomavirus, a major cause of cervical cancer.
“Cervical cancer is a preventable disease, and it’s crucial that we take proactive steps to protect our health,” said a representative from the Rotary Club of Panaji. “We hope that this initiative will encourage more people to get vaccinated and take control of their health.”
Dr. Pramod Sawant has been proactive in promoting healthcare initiatives in Goa. Recently, he launched the Goa Integrative Oncology Initiative, a pioneering project that integrates Ayurveda and Allopathy to provide comprehensive cancer care and foster research in the field.
The Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination Drive is a commendable effort by the Rotary Club of Panaji and One World Goa. With the support of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, this initiative is expected to make a positive impact on public health in Goa
