CALANGUTE UNITED IN CONDEMNATION: CANDLE MARCH PAYS TRIBUTE TO PAHALGAM TERROR ATTACK VICTIMS
Calangute: A peaceful candle march was organized in Calangute, Goa, to condemn the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and to honor the victims. The march, attended by local residents, tourists, and community leaders, aimed to express solidarity with the families of the victims and to promote peace and harmony.
The march began at the Calangute Municipal Market and proceeded through the main streets of the town, with participants carrying candles, flowers, and placards bearing messages of peace and condolences. The event culminated in a prayer meeting, where participants lit candles and observed a moment of silence to pay their respects to the victims.
“We stand together against terrorism and violence. We want to send a strong message that our community will not be intimidated by such acts,” said, a local resident yeshwant knaodlkar and organizer of the march.
“Our hearts go out to the families of the victims. We pray for peace and harmony in our country and around the world,” said another local resident
