Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai Visits Shree Mhalasa Narayani Temple as Part of ‘Khushal-Kalyan Yatra’ Initiative”
In a heartwarming display of devotion, Governor Shri PS Sreedharan Pillai, accompanied by his spouse Smt. Rita S. Pillai, visited the revered Shree Mhalasa Narayani temple in Mardol, Goa, as part of the “Khushal – Kalyan Yatra” initiative. The Governor was joined in this spiritual journey by Minister for Art & Culture, Shri Govind Gaude.
The Shree Mhalasa Narayani temple, a 450-year-old sacred site, is dedicated to Goddess Mahalasa, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. This ancient temple boasts stunning Portuguese architecture, featuring a copper roof and a beautiful Sabha Mantapa. Devotees flock to this temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
During their visit, the Governor and his spouse offered prayers and sought divine blessings, immersing themselves in the serene atmosphere of the temple. The Minister for Art & Culture, Shri Govind Gaude, played a key role in facilitating the Governor’s visit, highlighting the significance of cultural and spiritual heritage in the region.
The “Khushal – Kalyan Yatra” initiative aims to foster community well-being and prosperity. By visiting sacred sites like the Shree Mhalasa Narayani temple, the Governor and the Minister underscore the importance of faith and spirituality in promoting social harmony and development.
