“Awareness Action on Pedestrian Safety Held in Mapusa”
As part of the 8th UN Global Road Safety Week, an Awareness Action on Pedestrian Safety was held in Mapusa on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The event aimed to promote road safety and reduce traffic-related injuries and deaths, aligning with the global campaign’s theme.
The event, which was organized in collaboration with GOACAN and the local police, started below the RTO office at KTC Bus Stand, Mapusa, at 10:30 am and concluded at 12:30 pm. It highlighted the importance of pedestrian safety and encouraged community participation to create a safer environment for all road users. The initiative was in line with the United Nations’ goal to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries.
