“VP Jagdeep Dhankhar in Goa: A Boost to State’s Development and Maritime Security”
Panaji, – Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, and his spouse, Dr. (Smt.) Sudesh Dhankhar, were warmly welcomed by Governor of Goa, Shri PS Sreedharan Pillai, and Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, upon their arrival at INS Hansa Dabolim in Goa.
During his visit, Vice-President Dhankhar is scheduled to dedicate new projects of the Mormugao Port to the nation, showcasing the port’s growing capabilities and potential. He will also interact with senior officers and staff of the Mormugao Port Authority, gaining insights into the port’s operations and future plans.
The Vice-President’s visit also includes an interaction with senior officers of the Indian Coast Guard on board a Coast Guard vessel at the Mormugao Port, highlighting the importance of maritime security in the region.
Furthermore, Shri Dhankhar will visit the ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), where he will engage with faculty members and scientists, discussing the latest developments and innovations in agricultural research.
In a significant cultural event, the Vice-President will commission statues of Charaka and Sushruta at the Raj Bhavan premises, paying tribute to their pioneering contributions to Ayurveda and Surgery, respectively.
