Capacity-Building Workshop on Eco-Friendly Mushroom Cultivation Held in Calangute
A successful capacity-building workshop on eco-friendly mushroom cultivation was organized at the Village Panchayat Biodiversity Office in Calangute on May 27, 2025. The workshop was held in collaboration with the Goa State Climate Change Cell and Goa State Biodiversity Board.
The workshop provided participants with valuable insights on mushroom cultivation as a climate-resilient livelihood option, solar energy systems and available subsidies, and hands-on training on mushroom cultivation techniques.
The workshop aimed to promote sustainable livelihoods in Calangute by empowering participants with knowledge on eco-friendly mushroom cultivation. The initiative is expected to contribute to the local economy while promoting environmental sustainability.
The workshop was made possible through the collaboration of the Village Panchayat Biodiversity Office, Goa State Climate Change Cell, and Goa State Biodiversity Board.
