BELOVED JOURNALIST’S LIFE CUT SHORT IN TRAGIC ACCIDENT
A heart-wrenching incident has shaken the community of Alto Porvorim as senior journalist Rosario Mascarenhas lost his life in a tragic accident. Mascarenhas fell into a septic tank when the broken and loosely placed lid gave way under his weight.
Despite a swift rescue operation led by the Pilerne Fire and Emergency Services team and Saligao Police, Mascarenhas’ life could not be saved. The bravery and dedication of the fire fighters involved in the operation, including Sub Officer Sunny Phayde, Rama Naik L/ff, Pritesh Mahaldar ff, Jitendra Bali ff, Viraj Khandolkar ff, Sairaj Mandrekar ff, and Saish Chari, Driver Operator, are commendable.
