DR. PRAMOD SAWANT LAUNCHES GOA POLICE’S AI-POWERED TOOLS TO COMBAT RADICALISM AND CYBERCRIME
Panaji, Goa – In a significant step towards leveraging technology to enhance public safety, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched two innovative AI-powered tools developed by the Goa Police in association with BITS Pilani Goa Campus. The tools, Radical Content Analyzer and Spot the Scam, aim to detect and prevent radical or extremist content and cybercrime threats in the state.
The Radical Content Analyzer tool uses AI algorithms to analyze videos and detect radical or extremist content, helping to prevent the spread of harmful ideologies. The Spot the Scam tool, on the other hand, analyzes websites and APK files to detect scams and security threats, providing an additional layer of protection for citizens online.
The launch event was attended by DGP Goa, Shri Alok Kumar, IPS, and other senior police officers. The Chief Minister praised the Goa Police and BITS Pilani Goa Campus for their collaborative efforts in developing these cutting-edge tools.
The launch of these AI-powered tools demonstrates the Goa Police’s commitment to harnessing technology to enhance public safety and security. The tools are expected to play a crucial role in preventing cybercrime and radicalization, and will help to ensure a safer online environment for citizens.
