BUILDING A SAFER GOA: STATE-LEVEL DISASTER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM LAUNCHED IN MAPUSA
Mapusa, June 2025 – In a significant step towards enhancing disaster preparedness and response, the Goa State Disaster Management Authority, in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Collector Bardez Taluka and the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Mapusa, organized a special drive on Village Level Disaster Management and Fire Safety Awareness program.
The event, held at the Municipality Hall in Mapusa, was part of the #SwayampurnaGoa Programme, aimed at empowering communities to take proactive measures against disasters. The program brought together local stakeholders, officials, and experts to share knowledge and best practices on disaster management and fire safety.
