Calangute Congress Meets Traffic Officials to Tackle Congestion
Calangute, Goa – In a bid to address the growing traffic woes in Calangute, the Calangute Congress Block Committee, led by President Lourenco Silveira, held a crucial meeting with the Police Inspector of the Traffic Cell, Calangute, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
The meeting, attended by prominent local leaders including Virendra Shirodkar (NGDCC President), Vivek D’Silva (GPYC Vice President), and Carmalina Fernandes (Calangute Mahila President), aimed to find solutions to alleviate road congestion and improve traffic management in the constituency.
“We are committed to working with the traffic authorities to find sustainable solutions to the traffic congestion in Calangute,” said Lourenco Silveira, President of the Calangute Congress Block Committee. “We believe that with collective efforts, we can make a significant difference in the lives of our residents and visitors.”
Virendra Shirodkar, NGDCC President, emphasized the need for better infrastructure and traffic management. “It’s high time we take concrete steps to address the traffic issues in Calangute. We need to work together to ensure that our roads are safe and congestion-free.”
