Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust Donates Stationery to Aastha Anand Niketan School for Special Children
PANAJI: As part of its ongoing charitable initiatives, the Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust donated stationery items worth ₹20,000 to Aastha Anand Niketan, a school dedicated to the care and education of children with special needs located in Mapusa.
The donation was made during a visit by the Trust’s office bearers and trustees including Sidhit Raiturker (President), Venkat Biche (Secretary), Siddharth Ghanekar (Treasurer), and trustees Kapil Angle, Kapil Borker, Pranav Biche, and Adv. Sachin Sardesai. They were accompanied by well-known businessman and social worker Shant Rama Gudanwar, who has been a longstanding supporter of the school’s efforts.
Dr. Chandrashekhar M. Kelkar, Secretary of Aastha Anand Niketan, welcomed the team and provided an overview of the school’s activities and its journey in empowering special children through dedicated programs and inclusive education.
The school currently operates from an old building on its own premises, and is now preparing to shift to a newly constructed facility, made possible through the generous support and funding of a Rotary Club. The new building is expected to significantly improve the infrastructure and environment for the children.
The Trust appreciated the school’s contribution to society and assured continued support for initiatives that bring positive change in the lives of differently-abled children.
