Cuncolim Municipal Council Empowers Booth Level Officers for Free and Fair Elections”
The Cuncolim Municipal Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Collector & District Election Officer, South Goa, and under the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, organized a Brainstorming Training cum Assessment Session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors.
The session, held at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, aimed to enhance the capacity and preparedness of BLOs and BLO Supervisors for the effective implementation of the Representation of the People Act (RoPA). A total of 45 BLOs and 5 BLO Supervisors participated in the training, led by Shri Joao Fernandes, Chief Officer of the Cuncolim Municipal Council, and Smt Siddhy Pai Angle, Jt Mamlatdar and AERO 34 Cuncolim AC.
The training focused on sensitizing BLOs and BLO Supervisors on their roles and responsibilities, best practices, and the importance of maintaining accuracy and transparency in the electoral process. The session was designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively discharge their duties and ensure a smooth electoral process.
The training session is a significant step towards strengthening the electoral machinery in the 34-Cuncolim Assembly Constituency and ensuring that the electoral process is conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
