“Empowering Democracy: Mapusa Assembly Constituency BLOs Get Trained for Enhanced Electoral Process”
Mapusa: In a significant step towards strengthening the electoral process, a comprehensive training programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors was recently organized for the 05-Mapusa Assembly Constituency. The training, conducted under the guidance of the Election Commission of India, aimed to equip BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform their duties in voter registration, electoral roll management, and voter awareness.
Held at Saraswat Vidhyalay’s Anand Giri Keni Hall in Khorlim, Mapusa, the programme saw the participation of 42 BLOs and 4 BLO Supervisors. Shri. Pandurang D. Gad, Administrator of Communidade North Zone and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), and Shri. Anant Malik, Mamlatdar Bardez AERO, played a crucial role in coordinating the programme with the Office of the Collector & District Election Officer, North Goa.
Rahila Khan, Selection Grade Instructor at Govt. Polytechnic College, Panjim, served as the master trainer for the session, imparting valuable knowledge and expertise to the participants. The training programme is a testament to the Election Commission of India’s commitment to ensuring that all eligible citizens are able to exercise their right to vote and that the electoral process is strengthened.
By investing in the training and development of BLOs, the Election Commission of India is taking proactive steps to enhance the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in the Mapusa Assembly Constituency.
