“Goa State Film Festival Set to Shine: Dr. Pramod Sawant Leads Preparations for 10th, 11th, and 12th Editions”
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 18th General Body Meeting of the Entertainment Society of Goa, where deliberations focused on the upcoming 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 17, 2025, and will celebrate 75 years of Goan cinema.
The meeting was held in the presence of Vice Chairperson and MLA Smt. Delilah Lobo, the Chief Secretary, and senior officials, who discussed key aspects of festival preparations to ensure a seamless and impactful celebration of Goan cinema and culture.
The Goa State Film Festival will feature film screenings, workshops, Q&A sessions, market interactions, and knowledge-sharing segments. The festival aims to promote and nurture cinematic talent in Goa, providing a platform for filmmakers to showcase their creativity and celebrate professional excellence.
The festival will recognize outstanding films and filmmakers, with awards including Best Film (First Prize of Rs. 5,00,000 and Second Prize of Rs. 3,00,000), Best Direction (First Prize of Rs. 50,000 and Second Prize of Rs. 35,000), and Best Actor (Rs, 25,000).
