“St. Thomas Girls’ High School Honours Academic Excellence: Toppers Felicitated with Mementos and Cash Prizes”
Aldona: On July 19, 2025, St. Thomas Girls’ High School, Aldona, came alive with applause and admiration as it hosted a solemn and joyous felicitation ceremony to honour its SSC toppers and distinction holders. The day began with a soulful prayer service that set the tone for an event filled with gratitude, inspiration, and celebration.
The presence of Fr. Clifford Castelino, the guest speaker for the occasion, added meaning to the event. In his thought-provoking address, he offered timely and valuable parenting tips for navigating the challenges of raising children in today’s fast-paced digital world. The occasion was further graced by Sr. Ciena Fernandes A.C. (Manager), Sr. Rosarina Crasto A.C. (Headmistress), members of the P.T.A. Executive Body, dedicated staff, proud parents, and students—each playing a part in celebrating academic excellence.
The spotlight of the ceremony shone brightly on the top three SSC achievers. Miss Rakshata Raju Kalangutkar, the overall school topper, stood tall with an outstanding 89.66%, followed by Miss Dilesha Laximan Dicholkar with 88.33%, and Miss Meagan Maxy Da Rocha with 87.66%. These young achievers were honoured with mementos and cash prizes as tokens of appreciation for their relentless hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
In a touching gesture, the proud parents of the toppers were called onto the stage and presented with a potted plant—symbolising the care, sacrifice, and unwavering support they offered throughout their daughters’ academic journey.
Adding to the celebration, 32 students who secured distinction were also felicitated. Each received a memento in recognition of their commendable efforts and consistent performance. The thunderous applause that followed was a celebration not just of marks, but of determination, dedication, and the spirit of striving for excellence.
The ceremony concluded with a warm and heartfelt vote of thanks by Tr. Bernadette, who expressed gratitude to all who made the event a resounding success.
