ELECTION PREPARATIONS IN FULL SWING: DEO REVIEWS POLLING STATION RATIONALIZATION IN SOUTH GOA
Panaji: In a significant step towards ensuring the smooth conduct of elections in South Goa, District Election Officer (DEO) Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, convened a crucial meeting to review and discuss the rationalization of polling stations in five key Assembly constituencies.
The meeting, attended by EROs and AEROs from Cortalim, Cuncolim, Curtorim, Dabolim, and Margao, focused on optimizing polling station infrastructure and streamlining the electoral process. The DEO reviewed existing polling stations, considering voter demographics, accessibility, and logistical factors to ensure a seamless voting experience.
This proactive initiative underscores the Election Commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections in the state. By rationalizing polling stations, the DEO aims to reduce congestion, improve voter experience, and enhance the overall efficiency of the electoral process.
