Mapusa: In a scathing critique, the Nationalist Congress Party (NG) has lambasted the Deputy Collector’s office for its abysmal toilet conditions, terming it a stark example of administrative apathy. The party’s remarks come amid growing public discontent over the neglect of basic amenities at the complex.
The toilets are reportedly in a deplorable state, raising serious concerns about public health and safety. The NG Congress has questioned the administration’s priorities, wondering how an office tasked with governance and public service can neglect its own facilities.
Youth Congress President, Vivek D’Silva, expressed his outrage, saying, “It’s appalling that the Deputy Collector’s office, which is supposed to be a symbol of good governance, has failed to maintain basic facilities like toilets. This is a clear reflection of the administration’s callousness towards public welfare.”
Virendra Shirodkar, a senior party member, added, “The state of the toilets is not just a matter of cleanliness; it’s a matter of dignity. We demand that the administration takes immediate action to rectify this situation and ensures that public spaces are maintained with the dignity they deserve.”
