Goa Government Pays Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi’s Vision on Sadbhavana Diwas”
Panaji: Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, led the tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 81st birth anniversary, observed as Sadbhavana Diwas. At the Secretariat in Porvorim, Dr. Candavelou garlanded Rajiv Gandhi’s portrait and administered the Sadbhavana Pledge to Secretaries, senior government officials, and staff members.
The Sadbhavana Pledge emphasizes working towards emotional oneness and harmony among all people, regardless of caste, creed, region, religion, or language, and resolving differences through dialogue and constitutional means. Rajiv Gandhi’s legacy as a leader who propelled India into the 21st century with transformative changes and innumerable achievements continues to inspire hope in millions.
