“Pothole Pandemonium: AAP Slams Govt Over Calangute’s Cratered Roads”
Calangute: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a strong protest against the pathetic state of roads in Goa, particularly in Calangute, as part of its #BJPCheBurak campaign. The party’s demonstration, held on Wednesday near Bom Viagem Chapel, aimed to highlight the government’s alleged incompetence and corruption in maintaining the state’s infrastructure.
Despite a whopping Rs 1400 crore spent on city development, Goa’s roads remained a hazard for commuters, with potholes posing a significant risk to safety. AAP accused the government of neglecting its duty to maintain roads, leading to a situation where citizens were forced to navigate treacherous roads.
AAP demanded that the government take immediate action to repair the roads and make them safe for commuters.
The party sought accountability from the government and contractors responsible for the poor road conditions.AAP called for transparency in the government’s road maintenance contracts and projects.
This wasn’t the first time AAP had protested against the government’s handling of road maintenance. The party had previously staged innovative protests, including planting BJP flags in potholes, to draw attention to the issue. With this protest, AAP aimed to put pressure on the government to take concrete actions to address the problem.
