Guirim Panchayat Opens “Visarjan Seva Point” for Ganesh Idol Immersion
Guirim, 25th August 2025 – The Guirim Village Panchayat has launched a special “Visarjan Seva Point” near the village water body to assist devotees during Ganesh idol immersion.
The facility, under the leadership of Sarpanch Shri Shubham Rao Dessai, has been created with support from Vianaar as part of their CSR activities. The covered structure will protect devotees from rain during the immersion and has been designed to be dismantled and reassembled every year during Ganesh Chaturthi.
Speaking, Sarpanch Shri Shubham Rao Dessai said, “This initiative is for the comfort and safety of our people during Ganesh Visarjan. The panchayat along with the residents of the village are grateful to Vianaar for extending their support and helping us bring this idea to life.”
A representative from Vianaar added that the group was happy to partner with the Panchayat for a meaningful community project, saying, “Ganesh Chaturthi is a special time for Goans, and we are proud to contribute towards making the celebrations smoother and safer.”
