Rotary Foundation and Global Partners Bring Cutting-Edge Healthcare to Goa with AI-Enabled X-ray Systems”
In a landmark initiative, the Rotary Foundation, in collaboration with Rotary Clubs of Panaji Riviera and Dona Paula, along with Rotary International Districts 3640 (South Korea), 5930 (USA), and 3170 (India), handed over an AI-Enabled Ultraportable Digital X-ray System to the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Goa. The ceremony, held in the presence of Health Minister Shri Vishwajit P Rane, marked a significant step towards enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the state.
The Global Grant GG2478242 facilitated the donation of four state-of-the-art Prorad Ultraportable Digital X-ray Systems equipped with Artificial Intelligence to four Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Goa, namely PHC Navelim, PHC Betki, PHC Curtorim, and PHC Corlim. This cutting-edge technology will enable early detection and diagnosis of diseases, particularly tuberculosis, and improve healthcare outcomes in the state.
The initiative showcases the power of global partnerships in driving positive change. The collaboration between Rotary International Districts 3640, 5930, and 3170 demonstrates the organization’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in underserved communities.
