“Paving the Way to Safety: Goa Launches 14th State Road Safety Week with a Call to Action”
The Directorate of Transport, Goa, recently marked the beginning of the 14th State Road Safety Week-2025 with a significant event held at Vasco. Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of road safety in reducing accidents and saving lives.
The theme of this year’s event, “Accident Pains Safety Gains,” resonated deeply with the attendees, highlighting the need for collective efforts to promote road safety awareness. Key officials, including Director of Transport Shri Pravimal Abhishek, Convenor GoaCAN Shri Roland Martins, and Manager of St. Andrew’s Higher Secondary School Fr. Rony Fernandes, were also present to show their support.
The event emphasized the importance of road safety awareness, collaboration, and community engagement in promoting safe driving practices. By working together, Goa aims to reduce road accidents and promote a culture of safety on its roads.
