In a remarkable achievement, Asmin Khan and Afreen Khan from Verla-Canca have made Goa proud by securing a bronze medal at the Senior T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held at Jagannath Puri, Odisha. The dynamic duo was part of the Goa Women’s Team that showcased exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament.
Delilah Lobo, the MLA of Siolim Constituency, has expressed her pride and admiration for the young talents, acknowledging their dedication and hard work. “Their achievement is a testament to their perseverance and passion for cricket,” she said.
The sisters attribute their success to the guidance of their mentor, RCC SAG Coach Shri. Nitin Lingudkar, also from Siolim Constituency. Under his expert coaching, they honed their skills and developed a winning mindset. “Coach Nitin’s support and guidance have been instrumental in our journey,” said Asmin and Afreen Khan.
