Saligao:The newly appointed block president of calangute has appealed to the people of the Constituency not to fall prey to the false propaganda of the other political parties.

The Congress party is on the path of rejuvenation and is getting very active on the ground in Calangute constituency,as the assembly elections are approaching .The party has taken a very positive step in appointing a loyal hardcore congressman in the form of Mr.Benedict D’Souza who was the ex-sarpanch of parra as its president of the Calangute block.The Calangute constituency has been destroyed over the last ten years and suffering due to the failed and destructive policies of the incumbent BJP MLA Michael Lobo.

Dsouza has appealed to the people not to succumb to any sort of pressure from BJP and the other divisive forces ,and to stay unitedly behind the Congress party.

“There are lot of other B-teams of the BJP and new entrants trying to enter into the political field such as the TMC,AAP,RG and Goencho Avaaz .This narrative of having smaller groups who are playing in the hands of the bjp and only trying to divide the anti-BJP votes to allow the BJP to come back to power” Said dsouza

The president has cautioned the people of calangute constituency to be wary of such elements who are hell bound in bringing back the destructive BJP in calangute constituency.

“the present BJP MLA had introduced PDA in the pristine villages of Calangute constituency and has caused massive destruction of fields and hills to cater to the builder lobby inspite of the people of the constituency coming on the streets in protest over the same” Dsouza further said

The congress block president has urged the people to give one chance in the forthcoming elections to the Indian National Congress party ,and urged the people to support the party keeping aside all their differences ,for the progress and all round development and to preserve the constituency for posterity as the Congress party is the only party who listens to the voice of the people and is always open for dialogue and discussions.

He exuded confidence that the people of Calangute constituency will unitedly rally behind the congress party this time ,and further stated that Calangute constituency has traditionally always been known to be a congress bastion.
