- GPSC recommends ten officers for position of SP in police department
The goa public service commission has recommended ten DYSP’s for the position of Superintendent of Police at the departmental promotion committee meeting held today chaired by Jose Manuel noronha , Chairman GPSC and with Jaspal Singh DGP as member along with Subash Chandra IAS as members . With these promotions the positions of superintendent of police which were vacant for a while have been all filled . The requirement for promotion to SP is that the DYSP should have completed 6 years of regular service, passed a departmental examination and undergone training for 45 days to be eligible to be promoted . These officers have undergone the mandatory training at GIPARD recently and the requirement of departmental examination was exempted by the government with the approval of the commission. The gpsc today also lifted probation period of officials in the water resources department and promoted one official to the position of Principal in the directorate of skill development and training .
