The Goa Raj Bhavan has expressed its feeling of happiness to goan people for the great success of governor PS shreedharan Pilla’s Goa gram Sampurna yatra.
Addressing a news conference at the ran Bhavan secretary to Governor Mihir Vardhan has said that Over the last 15 months the governor has visited representatives of the panchayats in the state on the Gram sabha swaraj concept of Gandhiji and Athodaya and developmental concepts of Pt deendayal Upadhaya cupled with Narendra modiji’s call that Governors should go to the villages and interact with the people inspired the governor to start his journey.
In india it is the first a governor undertook the endeavor sampurna Gram yatra the yatra’s valedictory function will bne held on 26-11-2022 at 11.30 am in Raj Bhavan new darbar hall. Honourable Governor of kerela Shri Arif Mohammad khan, chief minister Dr Pramod sawant, minister of state ports shipping and waterways and tourism minister shripad naik, speaker Ramesh Tawadkar and leader of opposition yuri Alemao would speak on the occasion.
“On 16, 9.2021 on the eve of the 71st birthday of Honble Prime minister Narendra modi the Governor announced a scheme of Financial assistance from Discretionary fund to 71 social service NGO’s ( old –age homes/ destitutes/ homes / orphanages and for 71 patients undergoing Dialysis treatment” said Vardhan
There was announcement of the honourable that he would be visiting all the institutions to personally disburse financial aid at the doorstep and further interact with the inmates

also a programme of field visits was announced and this began from 17-090-2021 which was a hectic tour to several places spread out all over Goa which later came to be christened as the Goa gram Sampurna Yatra” Vardhan further said
speaking further he said that the core of the yatra involved meetings with the elected representatives of the local bodies that is the zilla panchayat members
the honourable governor was accompanied by local MLA’s minister and the chief minister as per the constituencies along with the district collector and officials from the revenue and panchayat administration.
Also a visit to 91 NGO’s was taken to distribute financial aid personally at the doorsteps of these institutions. The orginal target was 71. Also financial aid was disbursed to 1005 dialysis/ cancer and other patients and the Governor has personally handed over the cheques to the beneficiaries in the villages
