Calangute police on Thursday nabbed 5 culprits involved in assaulting a resident of Mumbai and his cousins and also snatching away his mobile phone
According to Calangute police a complaint was lodged by Mr. Vivek Naidu of Mumbai, Maharashtra stating that he along with his cousin brothers were assaulted by unknown culprit’s at Calangute Beach during night hours Wednesday and further the culprit snatched away mobile phone of the complainant. Following which a team was formed and information was collected and to trace the accused persons namely (1) Vinod Chavan, Rlo Clo Sea Queen Shack, Calangute Beach, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, N/o Karnataka, (2) Abhishek Rathod, R/o Canca, Mapusa, Bardez-Goa, N/o Kamataka, (3) Satish Rathod, R/o Clo Sea Queen Shack, Calangute Beach, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, N/o Karnataka, (4) Prem Thapa, R/o Clo Hotel Lobo’s Palm, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, N/o Himachal Pradesh and (5) Mohan Mondal, RJo Clo Hotel Lobo’s Palm, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, N/o West Bengal. During preliminary interrogation of accused persons disclosed that they had assaulted the complainant and had also snatched the mobile phone of the complainant from Calangute beach.
Calangute PS. team acted swiftly and successfully nabbed the culprits. Hence the police registered an offence against the culprits and Further Investigation is in progress with HC-4692 Prashant Chopdekar under the Supervision of PI Shri Paresh Naik of Calangute Police Station with overall Supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Shri. Vishwesh Karpe.
In this connection registered Calangute P.S. Cr. No. 98/2023 U/s 323, 506(i), 356, 379 R/w 34 IPC. Further a team consisting of HC-4692 Prashant Chopdekar, HC-4936 Vidhyanand Amonkar, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad, PC-6418 Mayur Gawde and PC-8334 Pritesh Kinlekar all of Calangute Police Station
