Calangute: A Site inspection of Candolim Bund from Nerul bridge to Caculo House by GCZMA alongwith GSBB on the directives of National Green Tribunal (NGT) was carried out on Tuesday .
It may ne recalled that Calangute constituency forum had demanded for Mapping/plotting on plan violations carried out in property bearing Survey No.241/1, 240/1 and 239/2, of Candolim Village, Bardez Taluka.
With regard to above mentioned subject matter the Authority earlier had inspected
above mentioned property through Expert Member, of GCZMA along with officials on
08/02/2024. Date: S/02/2024 As per the site inspection proceedings noted during the time of inspection all the members of the joint committee were of the opinion that the detailed mapping of 241/1, and 239/2, of Candolim Village, Bardez Taluka needs to be undertaken and so the mapping was carried out
“The process of mapping entire work area carried out by DSLR team to assess actual width of the bund and other land area covered” said president of the forum Prem Divkar
Speaking further he said that WRD has carried out the work in violation of Environment Protection Act and CRZ Rules.
Planning and executing such Environment destructive project is certainly not in the interest of the Village but looks to be in the interest of builder lobby at the cost of public fund. CCF – President.
He further said that and Enquiry to be set up against the WRD officers involved in planning such destructive project and wasting public fund for self interest.
CCF pledged to fight the issue to protect villa Environment.
