Bazaar Day held at Malar school
Panaji: With an aim to acquaint children with the basic economic system in society, St. Aloysius High School, organised Bazaar Day at Malar Panchayat Hall on Thursday, 7 March.
Goa Rehabilitation Board Chairman and Cumbharjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai inaugurated the Bazaar Day in the presence of Sao Matias Sarpanch Sau Supriya Tari, Guest of Honour Vishwambar Gawas, Chairman of Bicholim Farmers’ Producers’ Pvt. Ltd, High School PTA president Nilesh Bhomkar, Primary PTA president Sau Priti Diwadkar, Headmaster Anand Fadte and parents.
A total of 96 stalls were displayed comprising different items for sale. Village people showed a keen interest in purchasing a variety of items and enjoyed shopping at the Bazaar Day that was well-organized.
Faldessai applauded the efforts taken by the school teachers, staff and the management to provide a good platform to the young minds of students.
He also expressed his views about the scope & opportunities provided by the school for the overall development of the students. The MLA also reiterated his assistance in providing the best of the facilities to the students.
Sarpanch Supriya Tari said that students require such activities to strengthen their basic knowledge to cater to the challenges in the future.
Vishwambar Gawas applauded the Bazaar Day concept and explained how it can strengthen the socio – economic relationship of the healthy society.
Headmaster Anand Fadte lauded the help by Faldessai. He also thanked the parents for their cooperation in making such events successful.
Teacher Bina Korgaonkar proposed vote of thanks.
The programme was compered by incharge teacher Babaji Gaonkar.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries visited various stalls, enjoyed shopping and motivated students.
