Electoral Office and Govt. Polytechnic College Host 5-Minute ChallengeIn a bid to encourage young voters to register, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa, in association with Govt. Polytechnic College, Goa, organized a “5-Minute Challenge” competition. The event aimed to promote the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative and enroll 18+ students in the electoral roll during the special summary revision 2025.
The challenge required students to submit their online applications or use the Voter Helpline App in under 5 minutes. This innovative approach sought to make the registration process more engaging and accessible for young voters.
The dignitaries present were Joint CEO, Smt. Triveni Velip, and Nodal Officer ELC, Shri. Abhimanyu Tiwari, graced the event with their presence . Their participation underscored the importance of youth participation in the electoral process.
The event aimed to increase voter registration among young citizens, ensuring their voices are heard in the democratic process. By making the registration process more convenient and engaging, the Electoral Office hopes to boost voter turnout in future elections.
