PANAJI: Film Major is about an Indian Army officer, who was killed in action in the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack on Taj Mahal hotel.
He was inspired by the armed forces since childhood and joins the armed forces without the consent of his parents but as a grown up youth falls in love with a girl and both of them met for a short while and over a period of time both were engrossed with their careers.
Isha, the girl who loves unflinchingly could not be with the Armyman Sandeep as he away from her native place. She gets pregnant. She was admitted in the hospital. She tries to contact him as she needed him besides him during the trauma she was facing in the hospital and he was on a special assignment during his training period after becoming Major in the Army and was not available even to talk.
She was so frustrated as she could not contact him and explain to him then trauma she was facing and she then had miscarriage and this happens when his unit was ambushed in a remote village in the country.
Nearly 75 per cent of movie is shot in the same location hotel Taj Mahal in Mumbai. The film does not explain the events or interprets them in any way the plot summary.
The director plays a major role while delivering the dialogues beautifully framed and catchy as per the sequence. Dialogues are so mesmerising. The family who has army background and have sacrificed their near ones and dear ones for the cause of the nation should weep or shed some tears while watching the movie.
The movie begins with Sandeep Unnikrishnan who enters Pakistan Occupied Kashmir which Pak army considers a threat and orders him to retreat but when Indian Army questions him, he says the POK belongs to India.
