Three Senior Citizens, Including Two Foreigners, Attacked by Stray Dogs at South Goa Beaches

Margao  :  December 5, 2024: In a concerning series of incidents, three senior citizens, including two foreigners, were bitten by stray dogs at South Goa beaches in the last week.

According to reports, a 60-year-old man from the United Kingdom was strolling on Mobor beach on Thursday when a pack of five stray dogs attacked him, biting his left leg. A patrolling Drishti Marine lifesaver immediately administered first aid to the foreigner.

In another incident reported on Wednesday, a 76-year-old Russian woman was walking along Mobor beach when a stray dog suddenly rushed towards her and bit her. She was immediately administered first aid and was advised by the lifesaver to seek further medical treatment.

These incidents follow another similar incident at Benaulim beach recently, when a Karnataka native, also a senior citizen, suffered injuries after three stray dogs attacked him at a beach shack.

The repeated attacks by stray dogs at South Goa beaches have raised concerns about the safety of tourists and locals alike. The authorities have been urged to take immediate action to address the issue and prevent such incidents in the future.
