“Calangute Gets Power Boost: MLA Michael Lobo Unveils 200 KVA Transformer”
CALANGUTE, DECEMBER 7, 2024: A 200 KVA transformer was inaugurated on Saturday by MLA Michael Lobo at St. Alex Church, Naika Vaddo, Calangute. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Calangute Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira, Deputy Sarpanch Geeta Parab, and Assistant Engineer Penha D’souza.
In his address, MLA Michael Lobo emphasized the importance of reliable power supply for the community’s growth and development. The newly inaugurated transformer is expected to provide stable and efficient power supply to the residents of Calangute, boosting economic growth and improving quality of life. The inauguration of the transformer is part of a larger effort to improve power supply in the coastal belt, with 350 crores sanctioned for the project. Eight big pillars will be installed from Colvale to Mapusa, ensuring uninterrupted 33 KVA power supply and solving low voltage problems.
