Relics of St. Francis Xavier Return to Basilica of Bom Jesus
Old Goa: The sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier were solemnly transferred from the Se Cathedral Church to the Basilica of Bom Jesus on Sunday marking the culmination of the Exposition.
Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the historic event, which took place amidst great fanfare and spiritual fervor. The relics, which were on display at the Se Cathedral Church for the past few months were carried in a decorated procession, accompanied by church dignitaries, priests, and nuns.
The Exposition, which drew millions of pilgrims from across the globe, was a testament to the enduring legacy of St. Francis Xavier
The relics will now be kept at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where they will be venerated by the faithful.
