GROUNDWATER CONSERVATION TAKES CENTER STAGE IN GOA
Bambolim, Goa – March 11, 2025:
In a bid to promote groundwater conservation and management, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Central Ground Water Board, South Western Region, Bengaluru, organized a public interaction programme in association with Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College (Autonomous), Bambolim.
The event, held at the S.S. Dempo College campus, brought together experts, policymakers, and local residents to discuss the importance of groundwater conservation and management in Goa.
Speakers at the event emphasized the need for sustainable groundwater management practices, highlighting the challenges faced by the state in terms of declining groundwater levels and increasing demand.
The programme included interactive sessions, presentations, and exhibitions, providing a platform for stakeholders to share their experiences and suggestions on groundwater conservation.
