Automated Irrigation System to Boost Community Farming
Panaji, Goa: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, Shri Kishan Reddy Gangapuram, visited the Automated Irrigation System at Surla-Sankhali, Goa, yesterday. The system, designed to support community farming, is a significant step towards promoting innovative and sustainable farming practices in the region.
Shri Kishan Reddy Gangapuram was accompanied by MP Rajya Sabha, Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, and other dignitaries. During the visit, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and reduce water waste.
The Automated Irrigation System, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the region, aims to provide farmers with a reliable and efficient irrigation system. This system will not only help farmers reduce their water consumption but also increase crop yields and improve the overall quality of produce.
