“Candolim PHC Sets New Benchmark: Achieves 96.56% Score in NQAS Certification”
After receiving the National Kayakalp Award 24-25, and getting AAM-SHC Arpora-Nagoa NQAS certified, PHC Candolim has now been certified to be qualified for confirming to the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) (NQAS Certified) with the highest score of 96.56% among the bedded PHCs in North Goa. The facility was assessed on 3rd and 4th April 25 by Assessors from National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi.
The PHC Candolim is headed by the Health Officer Dr Roshan Nazareth and was ably assisted in this process by the Nodal Officer of the Quality Team Dr Vanita Shetye and the Six Departmental Heads and their respective teams. All the Staff of PHC Candolim were a part of this process.
They were guided by Dr Ujwala Prabhudessai, Nodal Officer (Quality), State, Dr Siddhi Ghatwal Consultant Quality and Dr Nadine Mesquita, North Goa District Consultant (Quality) under the directions of the Director DHS, Dr Rupa Naik.
A big thank you to the MLA Calangute Constituency Shri Michael Lobo and the Sarpanch of VP Candolim Shri Blaize Fernandes and the whole Village Panchayat for allowing all that was required to be done and getting all that we required to do which went a long way in getting such a high score inspite of not having the modern infrastructure.’said dr nazareth
