In a nail-biting finale of the Calangute Association Tournament, Raia Sports Club emerged victorious, defeating St. Sebastian Sports Club Mapusa 5-4 in a tie-breaker after the match ended 0-0 in regular time. Best Half of the Final was awarded to Velroy Borges of Raia Sports Club.
Best Goal Scorer was awarded to Velito Cruz of Raia Sports Club.
SP ANC Sunita Sawant awarded the winners trophy to Raia Sports Club, while the runners-up trophy was awarded to St. Sebastian Sports Club by the President of Calangute Association, Padmakumar Nair.
The tournament was organized by the executive members of Calangute Association and was also supported by former players of Calangute, including Bruno Coutinho, Alex Miranda, Anthony D’Souza, Domnic D’Souza, Eddie Fernandes, Agustin Rodrigues, Seby Noronha, Digamber Haldankar, Domnic Pereira, Marcelin Fernandes, and Alirio Lobo. Their presence added to the excitement and nostalgia of the tournament, highlighting the rich footballing heritage of Calangute.
